A big thanks to Galatea Kontos for including me in this show, which by the way, is loaded with fantastic jewelry by people I admire.
The show opened last weekend, here is a little information given to me by curators Galatea and Sara Brown:
“Sara and Galatea were talking about other jewelry/metal artists whose work they admired for various reasons (technique, subject matter, etc.) and over the course of that discussion came up with the idea for Crush. It works like this: we picked two artists who we have an art crush on and invited them to participate in our show. Then each of our crushes picked two artists that they have an art crush on and asked them. The result is an intimate show featuring fourteen artists whose work we are all crushing on”.
These ladies did a great job with the show and I look forward to seeing images
from the opening.
