I want to give everyone some time to let those last few blogs about business sink in… So now I share two very exciting events I attended over the weekend.
First, RAW- This organization spotlights independent creative people in visual arts, film, fashion, music, and much much more. My great friend and colleague Lindsay Hendricks invited me to Austin on Thursday evening to see this event in action, she was also a participating artist. It was my first time over to Austin and it definitely left me wanting to come back. Lindsay was exhibiting her jewelry and metal work, which you can view on her Etsy site HERE. I was proud to leave with a necklace! Congratulations Lindsay, I can’t wait to see all the things you do!

Second, on Friday evening Mario and I volunteered with AIGA (a professional association for design) for the Hatch Show Print lecture. Jim Sherraden, artist, printer and curator of Hatch Show Print gave a lecture at the Blue Star Brewery. I have always been intrigued with letterpress but to hear in detail the history behind many of the prints Hatch produces was worth an evening. He shared prints dating back to 1879! And they are still using that same type to print posters for artists today!
Next up on the event list!?
